Why it’s on the list: When I was 18 I weighed 9.5 stone and was a size 10 but my weight has steadily crept up over the years, some when I had baby #1, lots more with baby #2 ( post natal depression didn’t help), eve more when I gave up smoking. TGhen more when I met a lovely man who fed me well and introduced me to real ale! I’ve tried several times to lose weight but have never got far – I lost about a stone at one point with Slimming World but put it all back on again, and some. So over the next 1001 days I’m going to make a concerted effort to lose around 4 stone. That’s easily achievable – if I lost a pound a fortnight I’d do better than that, so it’s definitely achievable.
How/when I’ll judge this task to be completed:When I have lost 4 stone. I’ll record my weight here at the start of the challenge and then update every month.

OK the challenge is finally on.my brother is getting married next July and I am NOT going to be the blimp in the photos. So finally my head seems to be in the right place and I am determined to … not diet, but change my way of eating. Today I got on the scales and, to my horror, I weighed in at 16 stone 10 pounds …. the most I’ve ever weighed. I’ve rejoined Weightwatchers Online and will report here every week! Wish me luck …

Week 1 went really well. Surprisingly I wasn’t hungry and I managed to stay within my points and have a few free for a kebab at the weekend! Weight loss approx 2 lbs, hard to tell as my scales show a different weight every time I stood on them … but it’s heading in the right direction!

Really pleased with myself. I had a bit of a splurge over the weekend – too much alcohol AND dips and chips on Sunday – but because I had lots of points left from the week I still didn’t go over the weekly limit. I just don’t seem to be able to eat as much as I should, yet aren’t hungry!
OK it’s gone a bit wrong over the last few weeks. I put on a load of weight at the 4N Xmas party, then lost it and weighed 16st 2lbs just after Xmas. haven’t been on the scales since and given that it’s my birthday soon and within 5 days I’ll be eating out 3 times, I think I will just try and be sensible and start afresh on Mon 10th Jan …. give it three weeks before my holiday to Egypt, then a week off, then really go for it till July.
